Happy July! 🎆
I hope everyone had an awesome Fourth of July weekend celebrating our nation's 250th year of independence!
Across the board, it sounds like the obnoxious, illegal fireworks were down quite a bit this year. I imagine that tends to happen when people are facing a $1,000 fine per firework, up to $10,000 per household! I can’t even fathom getting a bill like that in the mail.
📊 Summer Market Update
The Sacramento real estate market is moving along at its usual summer pace. Here is a quick look at where things stand with mortgage rates right now:
-
The Current Rate: As of this week, we are sitting right around the 6.5% mark for a 30-year conventional loan.
-
The Big Picture: While this isn't the ultra-low rate of a few years ago, it is actually the historical average over the last 40 years.
-
The Bottom Line: Rates haven't dropped enough to cause a massive summer frenzy, but they also haven't risen enough to stop sales. If the price and the monthly payment make sense for your budget, it is still a great time to buy.
