• What’s happening with mortgage rates? The Treasury Department recently stepped in to buy back long-term government bonds to help pull down bond yields. While this injects some liquidity into the market, sticky inflation and broader economic factors mean mortgage rates are currently holding steady around 6.75%.

• What this means for buyers: That 6.75% benchmark is keeping buyer demand a bit cooler, but well-priced homes in great condition are still selling quickly. Pricing strategy is everything right now!
