Happy December!  This is a lot of the articles I've been seeing lately.  It confirms what I've been talking about in these newsletters.  Things can change and anything can happen, but what I really want to see most is duration and low volatility.  This means I'd like major rate fluctuations to go away and rates to remain below 7% consistently, we hit 6.99% on Monday.  This is all good news for anyone looking to buy a home. The key now is preparation.  Getting set up with a local lender to get everything in order and see what numbers make sense, and most importantly, IF they make sense.
More inventory will come with the lower rates, as traditional sellers are also buyers.  There will be more options come Spring 2024, but also more competition.  Getting ahead in the Spring starts now in the cold Winter.
