I hope everyone had a wonderful July 4th weekend and Independence Day!

Local reports from realtors are saying activity has been slowing despite the lower mortgage rates.  This is not unusual as Summer months can experience a slow down with a couple weekend holidays and family vacations in the mix.  Historically, it's not unusual to see the peak of the market between June and July.  My opinion is that we see a little divergence from the norm this year.  Mortgage applications continue to steadily grind higher.  The Trump admin and other prominent market figures continue to call for lower interest rates.  The "big beautiful bill" just recently passed, and the intention is full speed ahead, let's grow our way out of it.  I'm not saying this is right or not, and we won't actually know until things work their way through the system, but, once again, the intention sure seems to boost activity across the board.  Housing would be front and center.  As of now, my expectation is to see activity pick up into Labor Day and continue through Q4.  Let's see how this plays out.
