A Look at the Market On a more serious note, as we enter the fifth week of the conflict in Iran, we are all keeping a close eye on the global landscape. Interestingly, despite the headlines, mortgage rates are leveling out around 6.5%. While there is plenty of "noise" out there, the underlying financial markers we watch (like the 10-year Treasury yield) are holding steady. This stability is actually providing a bit of a safety net for our local market right now, preventing rates from jumping higher.
The "Savvy Buyer" Opportunity It’s a fact of life that real estate transactions happen regardless of the news cycle. While recent rate fluctuations have pushed some buyers to the sidelines, here is my honest advice:
If you are within a comfortable monthly payment range, now is the time to be on the hunt.
Competition has cooled off slightly, giving prepared buyers a unique window to strike. If you wait for the "perfect" news cycle, you’ll likely find yourself back in a crowd of competing offers.
